The “Trans” formation of America is happening before our very eyes and in vivid colors. The gay agenda is being broadcasted to our children before our very noses. The normalization of LGBTQ gender identity to our children is becoming common place, and media is its main conduit. This weekend, Disney is revealing its first ever animated LGBTQ character with Lena Waithe voicing a role in “Onward,” a fantastical universe featuring mystical creatures like wizards and centaurs. Cyclops is Disney’s first ever self-identified LGBTQ animated character:
But is anyone surprised? And, further, is anyone paying attention to what our children are watching? I sure am!
Dr. Michael Brown in 2014, sounded the alarm, “From here on, tolerance refers to the complete acceptance of LGBT lifestyles and ideology—in the family, in the workplace, in education, in media, in religion—while at the same time refusing to tolerate any view that is contrary.” The gay revolution has reached its peak, and its obvious. Dr. Al Mohler also writes, “We understand that we live in an increasingly post-Christian world, and that a vast revolution in sexual morality is now fundamentally reshaping the landscape. Churches and pastors, Christian institutions and individual Christians, are now under intense pressure to adopt this new sexual morality, along with its redefinition of marriage and gender.” This reshaping is happening to our children at all kinds of levels. Does anyone even remember the fact that Disney bullied Boys Scouts of America into submission to the gay agenda demanding they accept openly homosexual Scout leaders? Disney has bought into the gay agenda, and it is now selling its message to our children. The less surprising reality is that parents, Christian parents included, are also buying such message as children are being exposed to the gay agenda from a very early age.
The hermeneutical key words for gay activism are inclusion, diversity, and tolerance. Our society must be inclusive, in other words, it must normalize all sexual identifications. Our society must be diverse in its stance toward sexuality, in other words anyone should be able to choose their sexual orientation (queer, gay, drag, lesbian, bisexual, etc) without disapproval from anyone. Our society must be tolerant, in other words, it needs to be fully accepting of people who identify as LGBTQ and their ideology. This ideology is one to be espoused by families, workplace environments, in education, in media, and even in religion. This article is not intended to argue the gay agenda on its merits. The purpose is simply to raise awareness of how the gay agenda has infiltrated, and is infiltrating, our very homes through the means of entertainment. Ultimately, parents are the gatekeepers for what they allow their children to watch on a regular basis. Parents are responsible for filtering which kind of messages their kids are exposed to.
If you are not paying attention, let me provide you with a few examples. The following cartoon movies demonstrate the normalization of the gay agenda being preached to children:
1. Home – In 2015, Dreamworks Animation released the movie “Home.” in the movie, a certain male “boov” (alien creature) stumbles about inside the main character’s home, Tipp Tuci, where he is covered with glitter, his shirt is turned pink, and a woman’s bra winds up on top of his head. He is seen wearing make up, long eyelashes, glitter all over, and talking with a male voice. At the end of the movie he is seen at a party inside Tipp’s home celebrating, dancing, and laughing, wearing the bra on top of his head, as he is now fully cross-dressed, or should I say “trans”-formed:
2. Shrek – has anyone stopped to realize the pink-dressed wolf featured in the movie? This wolf is always dressed in pink, never once changes his clothes to a normal male wolf, and is seen as one of the celebrated characters in the movie. Let alone Doris, who unlike other sisters is an ally and best friend to Fiona, one of the main characters in Shrek. She is featured as an unusually masculine female bartender at the Poison Apple. Wikipedia describes “her” “as a “tall, independent woman with purple-themed clothes who wears Elizabeth Taylor style makeup. Her character design is intended to invoke the appearance of a drag queen, which is supported with her masculine voice.” This character is blatantly displayed:
3. Toy Story 4 – Last year Disney featured a lesbian couple dropping their child off at school. Though a very subtle move by Disney movie producers, the featured lesbian couple is meant to desensitize children to the traditional view of marriage being the union between a male and female couple:
4. Minions – In 2015, the greatly anticipated Minions movie came out. Universal Pictures gay agenda also came out. During one of the scenes, Scarlet Overkill is pampered by a gay male, cross-dressed, hairstylist. The mustache-wearing, longhaired, flamboyant hairstylist is seen wearing women’s sunglasses, an inappropriate pink tank top, a golden hair comb necklace, and speaking as if he was a female:
5. Life of Pets 2 – The movie Life of Pets is an action filled cartoon featuring various animals who struggle to find their purpose in life. One of the main characters of the movie is Snowball, a white rabbit who is a wannabe superhero. Snowball is Molly’s pet whom she likes to play make-believe with. At the end of the movie, she dresses the outgoing, bold, deep-voice white rabbit in girl’s clothing as he celebrates his new role being featured as a cross-dressed pink wearing, fairytale godmother:
6. Shezow – Shezow is an Australian-Canadian cartoon which features a 14-year old boy named Guy Haddon, who possesses a ring that turns him into a super-heroine. That’s right, Guy, receives alternative powers that turns him into a girl-superhero. He wears a female superhero costume as his aunt cheers him on saying, “You Go Girl!”:
The list is longer. However, I believe, as has been demonstrated, the gay agenda is being broadcasted via cartoons by all the major movie corporations under the banner of entertainment. Such corporations aim to change the traditional concept of sexuality, marriage, and gender identity. Again, this article is not meant to discuss whether homosexuality and the gay movement is morally wrong. It is simply meant to raise awareness of the how the gay agenda has slowly been normalized among our children. My issue is not against people who identify as LGBTQ or other. Neither should it be yours. We must avoid the “us versus them” dichotomy. It seeks only to divide rather than create healthy dialogue and discussion. As a father, my goal is to raise my three boys to love people, not necessarily accept their chosen behavior. This means even to the level of controlling what messages they are exposed to. We do not have to condone each other’s behaviors, and we must find ways to disagree with each other without denigrating each other’s characters. My issue is not with people, but with the agenda of people who attempt to preach such messages to my children. As Paul put it, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:10-12).
Dr. Michael Brown has dedicated a lot of his writings to raise awareness about the gay revolution. His intents express my thinking on the subject. He states, “Why, then, have I devoted so much time and energy to the issue of homosexuality? It is because this issue came knocking at my door, impacting the education of our children in their schools, shouting at us through the airwaves, marching down our city streets (literally), affecting our courts, threatening our liberties, and challenging our churches and synagogues. My issue is with gay activism, and I believe there are serious consequences for a society once you normalize homosexuality and redefine marriage. And so, while I want every person in our country to receive equal protection under the law, and while I deplore any hatred and mistreatment of LGBT people, I stand against many of the goals of gay activism.”
“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8
